Ok, good points. I was considering the fresh rose because of stock - new life, growth etc but I guess that does not really fit the theme. Jackie, I converted to black and white because I forgot to switch off the modelling lights on my stobes and the resultant colour images were too red. They didn't look right 'corrected' in PS. I have re-shot without the modelling lights, let me know what you think!

I like the colour on the roses with the white cracked paint in the background. As a stock image i think this is great...for the theme though the roses could look a little older perhaps. Technically perfect however. Very nicely lit Neil

I think this works better in colour. The colours are so subtle its almost monochromatic anyway. For some reason it brings out the background and emphasizes the frailty of the roses.
